Open Question: Interlochen audition song help?
Hi. I’m auditioning for the Interlochen residential high school this year as a sophomore. As an audition-er for the theatre arts program, I am a 2nd soprano with a very wide range. I also belt.
I need a song that I can act to. I will have a piano backing me, and I only need 16 bars to 1 minute. I also want to do something that shows off a lot, but isn’t too, too overdone. Here are my options:
*Wouldn’t it be Lovelry? – My Fair Lady
*I Caint Say No – Oklahoma!
*Don’t Rain On My Parade – Funny Girl
*Nothing – A Chorus Line
*Just You Wait – My Fair Lady
*Shy – Once Upon a Mattress
*The Girl in 14G – Let Yourself Go
*Happily Ever After – Once Upon a Mattress
*Here I Am – Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
*Notice Me, Horton – Seussical
*Adelaide’s Lament – Guys and Dolls
Please let me know what you think. If you have any more suggestions, please provide them as well. Thanks, and I really appreciate it.

Resolved Question: Do you know if I need to apply?
Does anyone know if I need to apply for the school of theater arts at Oklahoma State University?
I’ve been at the website but the web don’t say anything that requires an audition or stuff like that.
Oh and is it hard to get into Oklahoma state University? I really want to go there and pretty excited about it. Looking forward to doing that.
Oh and also, do I need to submit an essay as part of the undergraduate admission?

Resolved Question: What does the Big XII South Look Like in 2010?
I believe the Big XII South will be in this order:
1 - Texas
2 - Oklahoma/Tech
3 - Tech/Oklahoma
4 - Oklahoma State
5 - Texas A & M
6 - Baylor
I don’t see Art Briles getting the Baylor Bears going anytime soon. I expect them to win 3 to 4 games this coming season. Texas A & M, won’t be able to handle the ass-whipping Tech is going to bring them at home this year, and will have a tough time gaining momentum. Another win-loss-win-loss season for them. Oklahoma State will be able to get through not having their Starting QB back, and will get thing handled on the ground, and by mid season through the air as well. Oklahoma, may be able to get things back on track after having a pretty horrendous season, after losing Sam Bradford at the beginning of the season, and again after the Red River Shootout. Texas will do fine as usual with great recruiting. Gilbert is a prime QB that will be tested on his composure going to tough road games, and having to fill some pretty big shoes. NOW, the reason I haven’t gotten to Texas Tech yet, is because I have a pretty good feeling alot of you are going to argue with me on this. I HAVE A FEELING, that Tech is going to make 2010 the season to remember. This team has had to face alot of controversy during the season, and I see them making Steven Sheffield the starter for the season. He brings an electric spark to the team that Taylor Potts can’t touch. I see him leading the NCAA in passing yards, TDs, and completion percentage. I see them doing about the same as they did this year, maybe even better.
With recruiting classes looking good for the Big XII south, I am intrigued as to what the “best recruiting class Tech has ever had” comes in to effect. If I remember correctly, it was UT, OK, TT, in the lead on recruiting class rankings.
