Question 3 5 points Save
Read the following paragraph. Answer the question that follows.
Unlike literature in the Romantic Age, which focused mainly on the individual, literature of the Victorian Age focused on how people dealt with drastic scientific and industrial changes. Several scientific discoveries in the fields of geology, astronomy, and biology shook the basic foundation of Victorian culture. People stood between the past that they understood and a future of unknown possibilities. People wanted to learn more and, at the same time, were afraid of what changes new knowledge would bring. The work of one Victorian poet illustrates this conflict. In Idylls of the King, Alfred, Lord Tennyson portrays a desire to return to the values of the past. In contrast, his “Ulysses,” portrays a desire to press forward, to learn all there is to learn, even if doing so seems frightening and unsure.

I know there is a ton of stuff to do in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin, but I don’t know what. (and i’m not 21 for another month, so Oklahoma Indian Casinos are out… unfortunately) Any Suggestions?
